Employee Assistance Services
Sometimes, when an employee's productivity decreases, it is not because s/he is tired of the job or being willfully insubordinate.   More often than you realize it is due to a personal issue that negatively impacts his/her ability to function effectively at work.  Problems such as the beginning stages of an addiction, or a personal crisis such as domestic violence, a death in the family, or a divorce, can spill over into the workplace.   But they need not be a cause for termination, particularly when you would be throwing away a great employee who, up to this point, has served you and the company well.
This service is offered as an extremely cost-effective alternative to dismissing such an employee (termination incurs the high costs of advertising, re-hiring, re-orientation, and re-training of a new employee) - because instead, your company provides timely interventions designed to get that employee back on track, and back to a higher level of productivity. 
Most importantly, an Employee Assistance Service promotes high levels of company loyalty and respect amongst staff - they know that their value is understood, and that when their "chips are down" the company will not abandon them.

Typically, for an intervention to show sufficient results of improved employee performance, a comprehensive assessment and an average of 6 sessions are needed
